Smaller number plates are a grey area with the traffic cops , basically they standard size on new cars from 2001 , you can buy smaller front number plates but they wont be legal size . On a standard legal plate there is a long number on the right-hand side , the number with the name of the maker is what makes it legal , . Ive seen a few people cut there front number plates shorter but then sticking on the long number from the part they have cut off , if you get me lol , :? , the letters and numbers must be a standard size also ... http://www.theplatemarket.com/display_o ... basicrules
