Prodrive Mudflaps

Postby SteveS » Wed Jul 27, 2011 9:43 pm

Thought I would treat the 1 with a set of genuine Prodrive mudflaps, so I phoned them this afternoon and after getting past the lioness on reception who wanted to know why I would want to place an order as "you can order spares from Subaru dealers" when I explained that I couldn't get a set from dealers as they had all no stock she relented and put me through to an angel (her name is Maria and I love her and want her babies).........she explained that they at Prodrive are waiting for new stock to be delivered in the next couple of days. The cost for them is as follows:

£102 front set
£102 rear set
UPS freight charges @ 24.50
VAT £45.94 @ 20%

Total £275.60

Quality product but VAT and delivery made me think twice.

Not sure on them being carbon fibre as the text is a bit evasive

"Using materials that have been proven in the harshest competition environments, these mudflaps are made from hardwearing materials, designed to resist fading from UV light. The mudflaps help to prevent stone chips and minor dents to bodywork and paint, caused by small stones. The mudflaps are available in separate front and rear pairs, in either blue or black. "

The jury is still out on this

Just read this out to my missus...... Amused, she thought that nuts hanging from the rear view mirror would make a nice change to the Magic Tree.

I have Prodrive flaps........ thank God they were on when I bought the car. Good old Bob and Thanks to Tiley's of Bristol !
