very impressive rocko 8) so you got all the parts from rcm but went to another engine builder to build it? then you went to another tuner to fit the engine and all the ancilleries? how much did you save by not going to rcm in the 1st place? just wondering as i will only use rcm for all my scooby needs and would not have the confidence to do what you have done :) (i am a one shop man as you well know  ) so hows it running? and did you make the right decision? all the best and look forward to passenger ride in this rocket

That's f*ckin outrageous power mate, how does it handle with that power?

Can you still drive it "normally" everyday? Is the power delivery starting from the standard WR1 revs or have you managed a lower delivery start or achieved a wider delivery band?

good figures there, another "1" in the 600s, was this with power pour added?

Good question Mc

I must of MIT .. I never set out to active this kind of power as per titel thread

But it's does handle with this power but as the upgraded chassis parts allows the car to do so

And amazingly I can drive this car like I normally do " like a girl" to Tescos at low speed and tickovers sweet .. Which is down to the mapping

And the delivery power is spot on but this was my main concern from the off so I decided to help this with goin for 2.1 , light weight flywheel, etc pulley's
And goin for the billet turbo and the right turbo housing all ads a big part on the end result " spool and delivery power" , plus I can switch between maps for difrent boost setting

Cheers rob this is v power .. Dave wanted to add power pour and take Boost to 2.2 bar and more ignition . Dave said there more in the motor 650 on pump .. Power pour/ race fuel 680 I don't think the rods and head gaskets would take it .. When Me Nick, Dave feel brave we might push it just too see

But I was well chuffed for now

Got to say i've been in and owned some crazy cars....
Nothing comes close to the way that thing XLR8's!!! insane....
Although Chris on the road that Suspension is  Think it'd work much better with some higher profile and better tires like some 888's.
Not much more left to do it other than a cage and enjoy it!!
Nice one dude!!
Maybe a sequential box 8)

Right .. Engine now SOLD ..

New one Built well nearly.. Goin for RCM Rods, Cosworth Cams, and 14/14mm Head studs .. Engine is still a 2.1 stroker but goin for stronger internals As i wasnt ment to go over 550 bhp .. Thanks to A Gt 35 billet And Dave Rowe I endend up getting 600 plus bhp, Nick from advanced auto who bulit the engine wasnt happy me running 2.2 bar boost on the Manley rods..

So off we go Again .. 666

Just a simple R@D exercise in what can be achieved with minimal cost/engineering and reliable/tested products but "NO" shortcuts....2.5+ bar is the aim and it will be fun for sure, 666 bhp would be a good number.

Back to school and start again and no restrictions this time (apart from strictly no head porting or oversize valves)
