Hi, Guys i know how you much all love modding projects, I felt a bit left out .. so i wanted to join the stroker club .. So after long research .. and pickin ppls brains ...I decided i need a big help in hand to make tis happen ..

After a few weeks of long research i decided to go with

Advanced Automotive's & CP Auto's Team

There knowledge in subaru tunning is immense

From summer time last year till now they have kept me in the picture from day one ... On helping me build a build plan for my requirements ..

Wow...I would to be doing something like this, and your spec sounds very similar to my config too - but I am not into that much detail yet. The 2.1 stroker kit is defo the way to go.

Only difference is that I hope to build my own block - just for a laugh and see what it involves...can't be that hard can it? Just get the machine work done before hand.

I presume FMIC and aftermarket ecu are on the list too....what injectors you going for?

keep it up to date matey....got my eye on this project for sure...

should be stunning afterwards! good luck.

Rocko, what kind of approx cost is involved in getting to this satge

Well if your willing to ring around to get decent second hand cases and heads .. you can shave ££££

example .. decent Spec c heads inc cams £650
New from japan with out cams just bare heads £1700 ..

the stroker kits can be found on some sites for around £1200/ £1500
supply only .. which includes pistons, rods, crank,ACL bearings, seal kit

You can get a drive in drive out option for around 5k .. plus your twisted kit and then turbo ...

My budget went out the window ages ago lol ...

in my book you are doing it the right way...I am not sure I would trust or even want a second hand block in my build.

For sure it has got to be treated carefully to start with until it has gone through enough heat cycles to make sure everything is OK.

But if you are spending that kind of cash in other areas too - an extra 2-3k to make sure it is safe is fine with me.

Reckon 8-10k would see you get somewhere close or at least i hope so!!....more if you then start putting fancy bits on like aeroquip fixings and hoses.

Truely, truely jealous mate!!! but the best of luck to you and I hope you get what you wanted at the end of it...enjoy the journey, because for me that would be 70% of the kicks just doing the build.

I don't know much about advanced automotive but what i can see from the pics that you have probably made a decent choice.

They are using plenty of molybdenum disulphide assembly grease on the head bolts and cams which is a good sign. A lot of so called engine builders might just put a squirt of oil in there which is not as good on initial start up as moly, or a moly/oil mix.
