WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK OF A REMAP ON MY ONE

Postby mark t » Thu Apr 01, 2010 7:31 pm

Hi all,
got a chance of a custom remap on my wr1 in the middle of april, duncan from dynamics is coming up north to map a few cars and there are a couple of slots open.
Just running it by you guys as whether to or not.
I want to keep the car standardish but would like a few more ponys.
i got an email from duncan saying that i would get 10-20 extra bhp but could have more if i had some mods but all i have on the car is a k&n panel filter with the airbox resonator removed [still looks standard] and a de resonated centre pipe,a forge recirc dump valve, and i run the car on shell v power only.
I have done the modifing thing on my rs 500 but dont want to spoil the value of my wr1.
has anyone here had a remap using open source and whats it like.
Hope you could tell me the whats it like after the remap.
power/driveability etc.cheers all mark

Re-map

Postby Raywr1 » Sun Apr 04, 2010 7:56 pm

Hi ive got a wr1 with nearly the same mods as yours but i also have the de-cat pipe and K&N induction kit, Mine has been re-mapped by the previous owner. Although i cant say about that company or how much difference it has made because i have not driven it without i can tell you compared with the other wrx's ect ive driven the car is amazing and so responsive. I would search the net for any reviews of this company or system and decide from there, where the question of having it re-mapped is concerned i would definately say yes. And as for the value of the car so long as your keep all the standard parts you should not have any issues as you can change it all back at the end and ebay your parts. Hope this is some help mate. Ray

Ive just read the post by the previous owner of my WR1 and found that Duncan from Racedynamix did it and he was over the moon with the work Duncan done, Look in member list at ian1965's posts and you will find alot about the re-map and who is best to do it. Hope all this helps Ray.
