New wheels

Postby Bonovox » Mon Dec 14, 2009 4:27 pm

After 10 months arguing with the council, they have agreed to pay for renewing or repairing 2 of my 4 damaged wheels.
I'm sick of the hassle so will settle for 2 (better than nothing) but how best should I go about it as they need an Invoice.
I could order 2 from Prodrive but they would be the wrong colour, then again If i knew a local alloy repairer well enough he might agree to repair the 4 and bill me for 2? ....But I dont :?
The thing is I just got 4 new tyres and I can't afford to be spending more money refurbing or painting the other wheels at this time of year as the wife will have an eppy fit :(

Ideas on a postcard......

It's pothole damage, they look like they are kerbed but water has got in behind the paint/powdercoat too so there is some bubbling as well.
This was 10 months ago, they look worse now. :(

Ah PPS could sort that out no problem. They do the full re-furb too, not just the faces like some places do. You'll get brand new looking wheels again for about £40 a wheel I think it is :)

Suggest when you find wheel repairer get 4 wheels repaired and ask for invoice which only shows repair for 2 wheels but with total cost.

If rims badly scraped they will alloy weld and re profile.

Bono

PPS will also give you a bit off knock-off if you a full member on Aberdeen Scoobies.
The WR1 be safe in the knowledge that, short of strapping yourself to an Acme rocket, there's no quicker way to get from A to B.
