If you want an induction kit, you may aswell decat the exhaust. If you do either, you're looking at a remap really.

Also, if you want to keep the dump valve, you may need a remap anyways as I've heard they can make the car run lean.

Have you had any issues since fitting your dump valve?

No pal runs sound with dump valve on but wanting a bit better
sound and boost so I think a re maps gunner be way to
go but still wanting sports cat left on as
don't want it to be really noisy from exhaust as I have magnex
on and just right.was thinging of the power tech induction kit
from scooby parts but don't no yet. Am I right in thinking that u can get a remap with launch control ? And how pricey are they?

My DV causes no issues to the performance of the car and its cheap ebay rubbish that was fitted when i got it but its bloody good.
Magnex is such a smooth burble. De-catted will sound 8) 8)

If you replaced your aftermarket DV with a OEM DV you would notice it runs smoother with the OEM DV.

So you are a chav too? I've got a Blueberry cap too... I couldn't afford the the Burberry.

On my standard engine I had an after market VTA DV and loved it.

On my modified engine I had to remove the VTA DV as the fueling issues became more apparent.

don't understand why you would want to waste the air by having a VTA dump valve...

the reason it runs like a bog o shite is becasue the standard MAF has already accounted for the air in the system...so the ecu has adjusted the fuel accordingly.

So now when that air escapes through the VTA you are changing the AFR ratio's and running rich. More fuel than air....

Keeping the OEM re-circ in place is the best option, and to be fair it does a bloody good job already so why change it except for the noise - which to be fair would get right on my tits after the first few gear changes.

I wanted an extra bit of noise from mine so I've got an RCM induction kit and H&S Down pipe going on the car tomoro - I'd rather have the induction noise than a D/V and seeings as I'd be best part of £500 to re-map for the induction kit I decided to add the downpipe too to make it a bit more worth while 8)

I'll 2nd that Bro.

Had a vta on my old wrx, took it of & put standard re circ back on when i was trading it for the wr1 & it was VERY noticable how much better & smoother the car run with the standard one in place.

Never put it on the wr1 but is now on Foleys wr1.

Im not a fan of VTA DV's but it was on the car when i got it. It would cost money to change it and i am happy enough with it. Also when i have a long journey Usually just driving to the Dukes St andrews on a sunday i screw it closed and have no noise - happy days.

I can now confirm this mate, cant wait for the re-map so I can hear the exhaust and filter on full chat! :D 8)

Wuz called me shortly after he'd fitted the parts and the first thing he said when i picked the phone up was "I swear this thing sounds like it's about to suck people off the side of the street!"
