R9SY B Twisted Turbo

Postby Chris B » Tue Aug 11, 2009 3:14 pm

I thought I would try to keep a thread on this up-grade,
Image
new header tank bracket
Image
fuel rails
Image
new cable bracket
Image
headers ceramic coated black
Image
turbo oil feed pipe
Image
wing box for cold air feed, yet to be painted
Image
new intercooler pipe, this will be powder coated in red like the inlet manifold
Image
GT3076R Turbo
Image
oil and water pipes to the turbo
Image
pipe to the power steering, now cut down and ran along the chassis.
Thats it for now, more to come....

This is a picture of the engine before these latest mods so you will be able to compare things, the old turbo,up-pipe,down pipe, headers, fuel pump, inlet manifold, induction kit, dump valve are all being changed on this up-grade,the dump valve will be fitted into the intercooler pipe,an air-injector kit will replace the 3 port boost solenoid.

These are the custom hoses made for the car.
Image
The hose was shaped to wrap around the wheel arch taking hot air back to the front mount.
Image
Fuel lines taking shape all braided and covered with nomex to keep heat away.
Image
Car should be ready in the next week or so,just in time for its winter hibernation.

fook me...that is some work gone into this...

do you have a fully built engine too?

Might as well just make an offer for the 'other' RCM car and paint it 23G...might be cheaper!

love to see what you get outta it when its being dialled in...you using Motec?
