finally mapped!!!!

Postby wr1.305 » Tue Mar 31, 2009 7:39 pm

as some of you know the last 6 months has been a real tough periord with the wr1, with banjo bolts, gaskets, poor mechanics, and money issues! its been really hard going.

i had the car mapped by rich at powerstation yesterday, the parts fitted are as follows... APS SR40 TUBBY, APS CAIK, FULL RCM EXHAUST NO CAT, POWER ENTERPRISE 660CC INJECTORS.

I was hoping for 390 upwards...however only made 353BHP which was gutting. the car was starting to det anything over this. so a front mount is in need and in the pipe line!

Although i only made 353BHP i was happy to have the car back, and drove it in anger for the first time today!! forgot how fast it was, and how much fun it is.

Kev, it could be as simple as your top mount isnt like new condition, have you ever taken it off and looked through the fins, it could be pretty blocked.
Anyway if you get a front mount it would be better for it, running more power and cooler which is a plus mate. dont be disheartend. go for the front mount when you ready, then watch the power increase 8) 8) 8)

When you get your car remapped using Ecutek softwafe you have to pay a licence fee the 1st time for software as well as the remap any maps after that all you pay for is the map. 1st remap & licence is 6-8 hundred after that its 3-5hundred depending on whos doing it.

Kev glad you have the car going again after all your woes :D

Glad you got it sorted but why powerstation ?

Thought you were taking it elsewhere ?

Powerstation rollers are known to show lower figures than other RR

I did say 370-ish, do you have standard headers or have you put on uprated ones, I had 380 with headers uprated top mount, with those bits !

im running standard headers, i was hoping to get around 380bhp this time round then do headers and fmic in the winter. might still wait. i used powerstation because my head was filled with somany opniuns aswell as good things people were saying and bad. i just felt so confused so went for a repitle firm. i really wanted dsa to map it but they were booked up for the next few weeks and i needed the car for jpoc events.

the shit luck hasnt finished here... went to start it again and the alarm went of, tried to stop it on the key thob but cudnt, so disconnected the battery. the alarm was still going but, when i reconnected it i was able to stop it with the key.

start the car and head to work,... it stalled at every junction when the clutch went in, is ideling at 200rpm not the 800 it was after map. car feels pants loss in power. so its back on the rollers on friday to find out whats going on.

when it is i have a few questions about the power figure i reached. getting fed up with it now. nothings going right.
