Postby No347 » Wed Mar 18, 2009 1:30 pm

Hi guys, where do you source your centre caps from ?

Local dealer has just quoted me £15.21 each + VAT
Found some a little cheeper on e-bay but I remember someone telling me when i first got the Wr1 you could get these for a £5.00 each + vat....

Was someone telling me porkies ? :?

just come off the phone with the dealer.....now they are quoting me £40.02 for the set plus VAT

Reason he gave was due to exchange rate on the YEN hence the double in price !?

I work in global imports and exports so i fully understand issues with the exchange rates but am I being played for a mug here or what ?

What do you think guys ?

8.70 + vat each would fit with the 40.02 I have just been quoted but then they want the vat ontop of the 40.02

bloddy stealers!!

I'm going to try my local specialist see what they say....

(The wheels as I understand it can be sourced directly from Prodrive with no worries)

The list your looking for is a sticky in the 'wanted' section, why its in there i don't know but thats where you'll find it. Would be better moved into this section or both, bro you got the power can that be done?

Cheers Bro , will do

Azyman, I know there a real issue. But I'm sure I read somewhere some people have replaced and they have been fine. I was given a few tips on how to keep them in good nick but I guess you just can't account for weathering.

I had mine replaced under warranty. I have not used wheel cleaner since but they have still start to deteriorate. Granted not as much as before.

Brought ours at around £16 + vat less 10% from a ashburton subaru.

Have seen these selling on ebay for over £50, I sent the buyer a email telling him the real cost.....he was none too pleased

£28   Who is your dealer ?

Nothing to do with the price of Yen, prodrive is a British concern based in Banbury, the wheels are made by Speedline another British concern.....
