Suspension question

Postby Azyman » Sat Feb 23, 2008 7:59 pm

i am considering upgrading the suspension on the Wr1

any sugestions or advice would be apreciated

i noticed at the rr day they had a setup there all adjustable from inside the car [Tein] which is good as the g/f uses the car aswell

also i would consider a remap what would it acheive i got 320bhp on the rollers today as you can tell i am not the most mechanicly minded :D

but have got an empty credit card

I have heard the Teins are a bit "hard"

The ASTs wozza has are great and used on the T25's - so proven track record.

Everyone that has been in mine and I beleive Imposters has commented on the smoothness of the Exe-tc but they are best part of 2k fitted - double the AST price :? .

If your thinking of getting a re-map done you may as well look at getting the following at the same time to save money in 6months when you want more power:

De-cat - £70ish
Cold air induction for noise and power.- £170ish depending on what 1 you get the APS is again proven on alot of the WR1's.
"possibly" a larger top mount intercooler £250-300

A straight re-map may get you a few extra bhp but with the 3 items above you wont be too shy of 350ish with torque around the same figures.
Crash bang wollop!!

Dont waste your money on AST stuff that will break or knock and ride awfully on the road. :)

If it is for the road, the std suspension is pretty good.

Whiteline adjustable front and rear ARB's make a nice difference.

The suspension oil that was on top of your strut, which you showed me :?

Or did the sniffing of vodka 12 hour later make me dream of it
