How do I upgrade sidelight bulbs ???

Postby rally_driver » Fri Nov 09, 2007 10:01 pm

Just upgraded both low & high beam bulbs so i can see where I`m going on these dark Winter nights! Had a bit of a struggle as there`s not much room to get my fat fingers in but eventually managed !!

I used the Halfords Brilliant White bulbs & they seem like a big improvement!

I`m now wanting to upgrade the sidelights but no mention of how to do it in the manual !!
Has anyone upgraded theirs & how easy are they to access as i can`t work out how to get to the bulbs from behind the lamp casing !!

Any advice much appreciated !!

You need to remove the light clusters. The side lights actually sit inside the wings.

Not a difficult job though.

Thanks for the advice !!

Spoke to local Subaru dealer today & technician said it would take him 1 hour per bulb

Think I`ll have a go myself!!

:o

They are having a laugh.

I can remove, detango and refit both clusters in less than an hour.

Should only take 5-10 mins a side to change the bulbs
