Any onfo on a Garret GT4088R turbo rated to 700bhp - been told spool is reasonably early.

Do you know much/anything of these? Best mods to make them perform?

THANKYOU :D

What the fook????????????

You need a BIG and very EXPENSIVE list of supporting parts to run a GT40. It is not a bolt on item either. You will require an engine build.

Spool will not be reasonably early, it will be 5K or so before it's doing anything. You woukld be a lot better off with a GT35 variant at about 550 BHP but you are still in for a lot of money. Look at 20K taking it to Norris or RC developments etc.

Spike, my mate has a HKS GT3037S turbo which is based on Garret GT30. It has a 4" turbo inlet and regulary hoovers up small children and animals.

But the spool is shocking and he's done a lot to the car - HKS cams, pulleys, Nur Spec decat zorst, earthing kits - all sorts of sh1t. A stroker kit is on his shopping list, which should help spool - but then he's looking at a PPG gearbox to handle the torque.

Anders
Engine: FMIC with K&N CAIK, Oil Catch Can & MD321H turbo. Next mod: TBD
Brakes: Turbo Groove Discs, Pagid RS29's & Braided Hoses.
Suspension: Whiteline front and rear ARB's, ALK
