I'v noticed a couple of times when I have the diff set to locked, that when I'm reversing or the have the steering on full lock, and slowly turning that there is a lot of clicking and an almost crunching noise coming from the car. Is this normal?

yes - entirely normal

why have you got it set to lock?

Either leave it on auto or fully wound back.

Even in the fully wound back position you still get clunking a low speed tight turns as the diff locks itself.

If you pull the handbrake on just enough to light the warning light on the dash it usually frees up the diff from locking

Or just switch it back to auto when reversing/maneouvering.

had her on the quarter mile. rain was bouncing off the tarmac. these things are a nightmare to launch in the rain. had 3 rubbish runs then went home with tail between legs.

Glad this is normal as I was really panicking!!

thanks guys
