Programming the central locking

Postby Scooby_simon » Fri Aug 17, 2007 8:54 am

Dunno if this is standard, but my car locks all the doors when you start up and un-locks once you turn off the ignition. Is it possible to change this; I assume it's programmable (at huge cost by a stealer ?)

It tells you how to do it in the owners manual... or the alarm manual. So long as you have the alarm code there are quite a few things you can do with the functionality of the alarm. 100% positive you can disable the auto lock/unlock feature as I enabled it on our car.

If you don't have the instructions I can post the details up this evening.

I tried to disable the auto lock on mine but despite MUCH reading, I obviously got it wrong as it's still the same...............DOH !!!!!

EDIT*.....I've managed to prevent it locking once I've turned the IGN on. Now I can decide when I want to lock myself in. By turning this autolock off, I can now get out of the car whilst engine is running for winter screen cleaning etc. Previously I'd dread the door closing on me and locking me out.

NB.( It doesn't prevent the car from Autolocking when getting out of the car ....WITH keys in hand !!! so still need to be careful.)

Details of how to do set this up are in the Subaru Alarm details. If you've not sorted by now, send a pm. OK ?

I think it took me a couple of attempts as I seem to recall the instructions were slightly ambiguous!

Here's a cut and paste of the first page of the installation manual.

I have the full 6 pages as a pdf dodument if you want it. :)

[i]The Sigma M30 alarm system has many more features than you may be aware of. The standard Subaru
fitted system has the majority of these features switched off for simplicity and to conform to European
legislation. Just to let you know what can be done
