Sticking Revs

Postby WR 1mposter » Tue May 15, 2007 10:43 pm

Scenario. In traffic in 1st gear coming to a stop foot off throttle, clutch in and stop, the revs then jump up 3/400 and hold for 1/2 sec at say 1500rpm then drop to tick over :?

Is your air con switched off? Does that happen every time you stop?
Engine: FMIC with K&N CAIK, Oil Catch Can & MD321H turbo. Next mod: TBD
Brakes: Turbo Groove Discs, Pagid RS29's & Braided Hoses.
Suspension: Whiteline front and rear ARB's, ALK

The extra load on the engine might cause the revs to jump when the aircon kicks in (aircon uses 9bhp)...but may be not by 400 revs.

The negative battery terminal was loose, so possibly
not giving enough connection so hence the miss and possibly
bad fuel comsumption ..... :? :?

Hope so anyway
