HESITATION PROBLEM

Postby Gixer600 » Sun Dec 17, 2006 11:52 am

Hi Guys

Quick question not sure how much detail is required either.

Over the last two days i have noticed at 5,500 Revs there is a noticeable hesitattion for about a second. This definatley has only just come about in the last two days. Almost like the poor thing is really struggling

I am obviously going to get it booked in on Monday (well as soon as they can have a look at her)

Just wondered if anyone new what it could be?

I heard the standard knock sensor goes deaf at 5,500 rpm, so take it easy until the car's been checked out. Are you using the same fuel as usual? Could be a bad batch.

Mine did this after it was on the rollers I reset the ecu and it sorted it. something bad has happened at that revs ie high inlet temp or det or something like that and the ecu has remembered it and is playing safe.

Do you have a non standard dump valve fitted

I know a few on here said they noticed a slight miss when fitted

Ummm the problem?????

Good question

The dealer said it was due to over boosting and the ecu safety dah dah kickin in.

The 2 nights it happened it was cold between 0 - 3

said that if the boost is over 1.5 then a safety feature cuts power to stop it over boosting

IS THIS THE CASE?
