Exhaust

Postby wr1500 » Sat Mar 11, 2006 8:04 am

How many sections make up the exhaust on the WR1?
How many cats are there? are they racing cats?
Is the centre section two piece or one?
Does the centre section contain a resonator?
Many help with the above would be great, cheers.

There are Four sections
1. cat downpipe
2. small decat section
3. centre section containing resinator box
4. backbox

so you only have 1 cat which is in the downpipe

Do it in one go...change the whole system.....make some noise....let the neighbours hear the sound of that flat four boxer engine, sweet music I think.....go for it.

I fitted the TSL Firestorm backbox and i am pleased with the sound it makes and it looks 8) it isn't as loud as i thought it would be, maybee a full decat would make a big differance.

I do like the look and sound of the vortex that Sti Joy and i think WR1 Bro have. If i could choose again i think i would buy the Vortex.

As stated by WR 1mpostor (aka number 1 moderator), so with the afterburner vortex you can get from the downpipe back, but surely there is no point in replacing the small de cat section with the afterburner one when one is fitted to the car as standard. Am i right in thinking this or is the afterburner de cat better? decisions decisions, there is to much choice!
