Mudflap height

Postby The Swede » Thu Oct 20, 2005 10:30 pm

Quite a few of you have put mudflaps on their cars.

I just got my Prodrive flaps and want to put them on this weekend.

What 'height' would you advice to put them ? There seems to be a lower and a higher position.

I assume the higher position is safer with the lowered Prodrive suspension but are they still effective then ? Or should they really hang in their lowest position to work well ?

Any do's and don't's from people who did the work themselves ?

Tak ! :thumb:

If you mount them through the upper holes (low setting) they are nearly touching the floor on the front. I mounted the fronts on the high setting (lower holes) and rears on the low setting (upper holes) as rear has more ground clearence.

Thanks for the advice ! :thumb:

They can't be too low as they'll just collect a truckload snow.

Will probably hang them high at the rear too. There's nobody living here to drive behind me and the only thing it will do is stop the powder snow of covering my numberplate

Mind you, it would be nice if they stopped the rear always being dirty after 3 miles.

Even on the low setting the rears still have loads of clearence, but fronts on low setting is a big no no.

Hey Mod's, can we change that Torrekens back into The Swede. I can do with some stability in my life.
