getting a "whine" when in 2nd gear when i take foot off accelerator and slow down naturally!! any1 else experience this?

been advised to change gearbox oil which i will get done at nxt service,possibly diff whine which is not unusual, helpful lot on the sidc

It's probably just the centre diff...........this produces a mechanical whine when off throttle. Remember, when the DCCD is in Auto the ECU applies progressively more lock in proportion to throttle position (100% Throttle = 'Full' lock). Therefore, when your foot is off the accelerator the diff effectively goes to the 'open' state............this seems to produce the sort of whining you've described!
Sold out and bought an EVO......then sold it because it was rubbish!
