getting a "whine" when in 2nd gear when i take foot off accelerator and slow down naturally!! any1 else experience this?

been advised to change gearbox oil which i will get done at nxt service,possibly diff whine which is not unusual,

It's probably just the centre diff...........this produces a mechanical whine when off throttle.

Remember, when the DCCD is in Auto the ECU applies progressively more lock in proportion to throttle position (100% Throttle = 'Full' lock).
Therefore, when your foot is off the accelerator the diff effectively goes to the 'open' state............this seems to produce the sort of whining you've described!
