Brembo caliper threads stripped

Postby Smitwhit » Thu Oct 09, 2014 6:20 pm

Hi all replacing Discs + pads today and the top bolt has stripped the thread of the caliper. I know its a steal bolt going into aluminium but still! Has anyone else ever had this problem? If so is there a fix to stop it happening again? Its happened on both sides but only the top bolts.
Working at Vauxhall we have had it with Insignia Vxr's done the same but there not "quick pin" calipers. (These were replaced under warranty)
Also brought yellow stuff pads which are a SH*! fit! :wtf: anyone had this?
So all in all had a bad day on the scoob. :bang:

Thanks in advance Mark.

very common issue and a thread insert or helicoil will sort on-going..............

have repaired 3x pairs of calipers in the last couple of days

as for E*C, sorry but wouldn't be my choice
