WR1 Owners Club

Could any one please help me out? I am hoping to have some arbs and drop-links fitted to my WR1 but having spoke to a guy from Deamon Tweaks he has asked me wether my car is a MY03 or MY05.
Could anyone tell me how I can find this out?

I would have thought the Wr was MY04

Thats what I thought but he was adament about it. Will talk to Subaru Monday.

Personally I would recommend speaking to a specialist that knows info like that about the WR1, I'm sure alyn at AS performance will help you out and more than likely give you a competitive price too!

At a guess he may be trying to confirm if you have a wide track which was from 2005.

Supply him with your vin/chassis number. That will give him the answer!
I know what he is asking as I was sourcing some rear shocks and the number told them that mine (No.296) was actually made in 2003 even though registered as a 2004!

If yours is before 296 then probably also built in 2003!

I think it is the 10th character (out of 17) that is the year built.

Google 'subaru impreza year built from chassis vin number' and it breaks it down for you.

I had this problem when I bought my anti roll bars & drop links
The wr1 uses the top fixing for drop links so needs [ shaped on rear where as most other blob eyes subarus are lower mounted so just normal straight drop links. I told them the year/shape and received the wrong ones
