I have been looking for ages to find the definitive parts I need to replace my rear struts on my 1. Dealers are quoting some part codes and then have the cheek to charge nearly £400 a side. Has anyone done this recently and got the correct part numbers and if done recently where did you get the struts from ?

i would call RCM, ask them and they will give you a full breakdown and a price - then you can have something to compare against.
