Postby scoobychris555 » Wed Nov 14, 2012 4:40 pm

My battery seemed to have died the other day so im using the spare. I have had a brand new battery fitted but still will not work, does anyone know what the crack is?? Cheers.

Is the car battery ok?
Maybe it needs reprogramming by a dealer?

On previous cars (non Subaru), whenever I've changed the battery in the fob, I would have to re-sync the key with the car. I guess its the same here too. Just need to find out the procedure how to.

Dunno if this helps: http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin ... ing-18252/

I recently had issues with keys not working and pin code being changed by previous owner to an unknown.

As long as you can disarm the system you can reprogram the keys, but you'll need the correct pin code.

The code should be on a small silver sticker, and the reprogram of keys instructions in your alarm manual, both should be in a black wallet with the service book.

Hope it helps, Paul
