Inside the boot of the WR1

Can anyone shed any light on the two cutouts that are underneath the boot carpet. Admittedly one has a sticker on it saying STI Fuel Pump and a date and intials of the person who fitted it. The other looks like a speaker cut out - any ideas ??

Could be access plate for the petrol float?

Mine has a speaker in place, so they can here me coming when im playing ABBA :shock:

right hand in the pic (OS) is the access plate for the fuel pump housing and left is the access for the secondary sender unit
