Brake fluid change

I have recenlty had my brake fluid changed using 5.1 brake fluid.
I have just noticed fluid around the rubber cover on the nipple on three of the brake calipers, i have wiped clean but still there. Could this be residue or has the guy bollocks the nipples :x

I done many brake fluid changes and have never known any damp areas around bleed nipples 5 days later? The pedal feels firm but not as sharp as before travels a little before brakes applied.....

I should have done this job myself....

Help required before i loose it big style :x

maybe the nipples are not fully home, or he has simply not cleaned off the old fluid..........

a good dose of brake cleaner should shift and sort

Yes they are tight, over tight in my opinion? ive cleaned off with tissue / brake cleaner, all dry, press the pedal and fluid seen at base of threads, not a lot but definatley leaking, sick feeling inside as nothing wrong before the change

All bleed nipples weeping :wtf2: :x :x

just a thought but they may have been tightend too much and caused a hairline crack only visible if the nipple is tightened right up,(had this happen to me on another car) hopefully not this mate.good luck

suggest you have it looked at properly..............potentially take each nipple out and clean the thread, etc.....

Have spoken with Alyn, good advice given. Thank you :thumb:

I began the morning like this :crying: :crying:

Removed all wheels cleaned off all traces of muck, any fluid / brake cleaner that was left around the nipples.

Have again bled the entire system through, air still present. Removed nipples that were suspect, cleaned threads etc, No leaks present.

Two front outer nipples were weeping past the threads :?:

I an now ending the day like this :woohoo:

Make sure you clean your nipples before messing with them or better still buy a new set...
