Rear shocks maybe?

Postby Paulb022 » Tue Apr 10, 2012 8:35 pm

Can anybody describe the noises or symptoms of a knackered rear near side shock?
Have slight knocking when hit minor bumbs on near side.

If so any suggested replacements??

Me too, nearside rear clonks over sharp bumps and also when pulling away forwards or backwards. I'm saving up for the widely acclaimed BC Coilovers, but a pair of standard rear shocks can be had for less than £300.
There are no stupid questions, only stupid people.

It starts as a rattle that gets louder and turns into a clunking then a knocking then a bumping and eventually you learn to turn up the stereo and ignore it. My car has had 3 sets of oem subaru struts - 2 under warranty, now ive got bc coilovers installed and had no knocking since.

Plus 1 for bc's :)
Oem struts are garbage I'd of rather replaced oem for oem but deep down I'd now the knocking would return, Bc offer a close ride to Standered

I've not spotted a DIY shock thread. Will have a look that, good results?
Do I need any parts?
Cheers
