OBD light

Yesterday the OBD light came on no problem with the cars driving ect.Ran the car to my mates garage he pluged her in and it came up with fuel pump fault,put the light out and hasn't come on again.Just wondered if it's happened to anyone's car before:(the car was low on fuel but not too low).
