Common Faults/ Weak Points

Hi All

Just on the verge of buying a WR1, agreed price and deal, just got to exchange moneys now.
Have come from an Evo 6 400BHP car to the WR1 and was wondering what the common faults were on these or problem areas to look out for.
I intend to get a cat back milltek exhaust then get it mapped at a later date while de-catting it.

Also could you tell me a roundabout price for mapping. I live in Co Durham, North East England, Any good mappers up here.

Rear shockers, rear shockers ....oh and rear shockers! you will find umpteen threads on them on here, other than that all round pretty sound.

As above rusty front cross members ( under rad) was a common find when I was hunting!! Also had a few with whinning air com pumps! But did look at a few and a few dogs aswell!!

I can recommend Duncan from RaceDynamix for the mapping. Charged me £350 about 2 years ago. Might have gone up a bit now but wont be much. He advertises at the top of the Home page. He will come to you.
As for faults, Yes rear shocks if they knock and bang they will need replacing. Most change them for BC Coilovers. Apart from that pretty bomb proof. Good luck.
