Whistle /humming noise at speed?!!

Hi all, does anyone else suffer with a really annoying whistle like humming noise whilst driving their 1?! Seems to start at about 87-88 mph sound like it's coming from in front of me!! Driving me bonkers! Thanks, Richard!

Haha got a little scotsman under the bonnet! I half expected a smart reply more to the tune of 'back to future'... When you hit 88mph.....

i think i remeber seeing a thread on here about this, apparently its a bearing at the top rear of the gearbox, a few others including mine do it too, I will try to find the thread
