One would have thought any good supplier would know what a WR1 is?

to be pedantic  its not a version 8 (even though a lot of peeps use this number) its actually a version 10................although doesn't really relate to anything in the UK

Subaru Japan use the version numbers for homologation purposes with the first of the new-age cars being a v7 and then moving forward every year.........
bug-eyes 2001 v7 / 2002 v8
blob-eye 2003 v9 / 2004 v10 / 2005 v11 (wide-track)
hawk eye 2006 v12 / 2007 v12b (Japan doesn't like 13!!)

very weird as Prodrive always use the correct version number for their rally cars...

N10...N12 etc...
