Don't mind ever seeing anything to turn it off, but then again i've never looked as i've had no reason to turn it off. Most cars i've noticed it on it the switch thing is on the side of the dash when the door is open.
You thinking about a car seat for the wee one? It does have the fittings in the rear seats for kiddy seats, iso fixings i think their called.

yeah, only real reason why you would switch it off is for child seats, as the real little ones are rearward facing.

not sure if you can disable through diagnostics port, but there isn't any external switch to disable.

you can always unplug if you remove your glovebox, but there is a risk it could go off when you do this...never had it happen to me though.

Agree with above,i've got a WRX blob that i fitted wr1 interior to,the my05 blob comes with the airbags in the front seats,so to fool the brain i had to bridge the connector using resistors that you can pick up for peanuts from maplin.I'd imagine the same could be done with the passenger airbag. When fitting the resistors i would double over the resistor wires just so that they get a tight fit when connected into the plug.
Hope this helps :D
