Exhast Centre Section Question!

Hi folks

I already have a Afterburner backbox fitted to my WR1 however was wondering if this centre section pipe would bolt straight in without affecting the CAT etc.

Im thinking if I get rid of the current centre section complete with silencer then it will give it a bit more rumble!!!!

Yup it'll go on fine mate - I put the non resonated one on mine last year

Hi mate, ive got the same set up as you in the after burner vortex back box.
Im pretty sure this section will just bolt in place. But one thing to think about is track days if you do them. This section will prob send it over the noise limit at most tracks. But im sure some of the more knowledgable lads on hear can let you know. I'd be interested myself to know. Love the back though, well worth the money aint they!

It only has on cat mate and it's a sports cat, Just the normal STI's have the 2 cats,

when they fit the sports cat and the straight thro' second cat replacement pipe the heat shields from the catted section are normally swapped onto the straight thro' pipe giving the impression of a cat box................

if you look thro the heat shield you'll see the pipe

Well mine's now fully de-catted with the only silencer being the back box (ninja II) and I don't think it's silly loud - sounds just right in my opinion with a nice deep burble on tickover then all hell is unleashed when you come on boost with some nice pops and bangs I should add that mine is re-mapped too.

I'd say its almost as loud as my cousins Nur Spec system but without the annoying cabin drone he gets in his STi.
