boot leaking

Hi people not sure if its common as not had scooby do a long time but boot is leaking like a bitch . started smelling quite bad n notices boot mat soaked . think it might be boot seal is this common? or do i need to take spoiler off n silicone round it possible ? many thanks for any help barry

Not sure how likely this is but spoiler could possibly leak through fixings but check the rubber boot seal itself and also that there is no rust around the seal/weld... it might be getting through the metalwork itself?!?

I had the same problem mate. Just after i bought it my boot was leaking. The car had only done 14K. So i got straight on the phone to the dealer who was very helpfull and offered me to take it back. He guaranteed me it was the boot rubber. So i bought a rubber from subaru and he told me to apply rtv sealent. NO MORE LEAKS PERFECT.
