New Battery - Which one?

This weather has made me realise I need a new battery!

As long as I get one with round terminals it dosn't matter which one does it?

Haha. What made me ask was someone told me that on an older impreza he fitted a battery that was too powerful and fried the ecu!

Ive just been an brought one from Halfrauds which should be fine! :)

The only way a battery for a Subaru could be "too powerful" is if it was greater that 12volts. The electrics in the car are all designed to operate from a potential of 12volts. If you apply say 24volts to them, it may well damage/stress the components, yes.

Are they just the same as no-maintenance battery?

I think so, They are much Smaller and lighter..

I Know Chris B has one ..

You get battery's with more amps hour in them maybe thats what fried his ecu .You need to 12volt batterys to make 24volts or batterty charge that does 24volts

I've bought one from them too as mine ran out of puff on Xmas Eve.
£83 I think it was.
