New Battery - Which one?

Postby spraggol » Tue Jan 12, 2010 5:44 pm

This weather has made me realise I need a new battery!

As long as I get one with round terminals it dosn't matter which one does it?

The only way a battery for a Subaru could be "too powerful" is if it was greater that 12volts. The electrics in the car are all designed to operate from a potential of 12volts. If you apply say 24volts to them, it may well damage/stress the components, yes.

You get battery's with more amps hour in them maybe thats what fried his ecu .You need to 12volt batterys to make 24volts or batterty charge that does 24volts
