Just pulled the head unit out and had a quick look. The OEM unit is a Kenwood.

Does anyone know if Subaru do a ipod/iphone adapter that fits the standard head unit?

Why do you want to listen to music when you have the roar of the WR1 to listen to?

Sounds like you might be best off getting an ipod holder and using either some headphones - well one so you can still hear out the other ear whats going on... OR one of those radio things where you tune the radio into a frequency and can wirelessly play the ipod out of the stereo speakers.
i.e. £8.99
