Manual doesn't say how to clean aircon filter !

I need to clean the aircon filter as it just plain stinks when the aircon is on nowadays.

I don't feel like driving 60 miles to the Subaru dealer and the manual doesn't say where the damn pollenfilter is located bar "you should visit the official Subaru dealer".

Can anybody tell me how I can get the thing cleaned ? Where is it located ? (I've seen a big fan in the passenger footwell, but it doesn't look like the place where somebody would have fitted a pollenfilter).

I know there are some products I can introduce into the system to kill bacteria. Via where should I get that into the system ?

the Cooling coil will need cleaning as well.

Most Air Con Specialists will be able to di this for you mate, the coil needs sanitising.

Fixed Air Con systems sometimes get this problem as well

If the dealer carries out the work make sure he sanitises the cooling coil with a specialist product and not just puff some hair spray in there
