Postby 500tie » Thu Nov 12, 2009 4:49 pm

Does anybody know if i would be able to fit the above to my WRX300 which currently has the 5speed in it.

I know i would have to change the clutch and flywheel but i don't know if the actual gearbox would fit.

It should fit as they are the same car more or less, same engine block same chassis so should swap ok. You might need to change your front & rear diffs though as i'm sure the sti's are different to wrx's.

Best person on here to ask is WUZ as he does these kinda swaps & mods & has far more knowledge than i ever will about what fits what when it comes to scoobs. Drop him a pm & ask.

you would obviously have to fit some form of control for the DCCD as the WRX doesn't have anything as std.............

Is there no cut out in the trim to fit the button?

If there isn't one, then swap the console for one of an STi.

no what i meant was you would need all the electronic control incl. buttons, not just somewhere to put the switch inside........................ 8)

wire up a classic dccd controller or better option would be buying a neetroninics dccd controller.
you will have to have a 6 speed prop and a 180 rear diff, clutch flywheel possibly starter motor, linkage and knob!
lots of subaru breakers sell kits, around £2000-£2500 for the kit.
non dccd between £1500-£1800.

5-Speed Flywheel and starter motor will retro-fit into the 6-speed box.
