Newbie need advice !

On WR1 downpipe bellmouth there a large chunk of metal in the middle and do i need to cut it out in order to fit this downpipe to my version 7 JDM STi ?

Depends on what turbo you are running on the car.

TD series (18/20g) will need it removed, VF30/34 won't.

It's just a splitter to keep the exhaust gasses and wastegate gasses separate for a little longer to promote better flow from the turbo.

we normally simply trim to suit if needed..............
