Brake swapping...

Postby MaverickUK82 » Sun Sep 06, 2009 12:00 pm

I assume I can't do this. But I'll let you guys tell me why.

I have new ish OEM brake pads and discs on the front.

I think the rears are the original ones and haven't been changed.

I would like to put the front brakes on the rears and get performance frictions pads and rotors on the front.

Or maybe just use the discs from the front and use performance friction pads on the back.

The reason for this is that my rear discs are scored quite a bit, and I don't really want to replace the fronts unneccesarily when they're so new. So it thought the above would be good.

is it possible?

Nothing would be wasted that way if that makes sense.

O.k.

I thought you could get different sized brakes, etc, so thought you'd still be able to do it.

Never mind. Have to look into getting new rotors for the rears, or maybe getting them resurfaced?
