Exhaust Help!!

Postby swrtno1 » Sat Aug 08, 2009 12:20 pm

Hi, recived my new 3 inch exhaust system c/w 100 cell cat on the down pipe. Cant wait to get it fitted and let the scoob roar!! :D

Was just wondering if i fitted the exhaust and run the car for a couple of days for work would this damage anything like the turbo before the car is mapped for the new exhaust and would the engine management light come on because of the bigger diameter?

or

Should i just wait and fit the exhaust just before i get the car mapped?

Help and advise is much appriciated guys!!

Hey dude, in Aberdeen too. :D

Ive read that when it has been changed you require to keep off the boost, so if you can drive under 3krpm then that should be ok. Where you getting it mapped??

On a side note i got the Nur Spec fitted last night and it sounds beautiful, lots of pops and what a roar.

Are you using a bung? I couldn't live without one it was just too loud for everyday use.

I recived the blitz nur spec on Thursday, have bought a 3 inch down pipe aswell. Not sure when i will be getting the car mapped, hopefully end of the month or next month. Will have to give Andy Forrest a bell and see when he can fit me in.

Got to be the best sounding Scooby exhaust on the market but they do get a little tiring on a long journey. I would have loved to have fitted mine to the Hawkeye but they are obscenely loud with a 3 inch de-cat.

I never once got tired of my Blitz mated with the Prodrive sports cat. Awesome noise...

Decat and Blitz is a big :nono: Sounds awesome but it will split rear passenger eardrums.

thats what ive got it sounds brilliant and doesnt drone when at 70-100,
when in 2nd gear and cruising it is just perfect. I will decat in the future but just now its not hugely important.

i got a sensational deal on my exhaust from a subaru legend up here (wuz) on this site. The only person Clark lets touch his subaru for any work so you realise how good he is and one of the coolest blokes too have a laugh with.

I'd still love another Blitz after having one on my old wrx.
As well as being the best sounding scoob exhaust it also looks one of the best 8)
Only thing that stops me is i have my wee dog Dylan in the back seats in his cage & it would be to loud for him. When we picked up the wagon for running about in it had a 3" system with 5" backbox on it we ended up picking up a standard exhaust for it as Dylan would just sit cowering in the back not looking happy.
