can anyone help
when setting off sometimes car a bit juddery also when driving in 1st gear gear stick wobbles badly but in rest of gears there is no wobble also when racing through the gears its very hard to get into 5th and also sometimes grates or bangs any ideas could the clutch be on its way or gearbox faulty?

Am having a guess but it could be engine or grear box mounts, I had a car with the same as your problems and it was the mounts needing replaced,

the car seems noisy changing gear aswell is this normal?
when im changing gear theres like a clunking sound

Butchie - was there a conculsion to this?

try putting the diff mode into auto,when mine's is in manual it judders and grinds until im moving about 15-20mph

Never had juddering on ours

I've got a slight knock but no juddering when pulling away,

its not like a juddering more of a wobble on gearstick
subaru av checked it over and there happy so thats good enough for me
