Havent' checked today but my engine warning light has come on.
I think it may be to do with this:
Sunday I cleaned the car. I followed clarks WR1 detailing closely and power washed the engine on low power. I did cover all the electrical parts with cling film - could it be that something got wet and has switched the warning light on?
Will the light stay on now until it's turned off by a Subaru dealer or will it go away with the problem if it sorts itself?

As far as I understand, if the problem it identified has gone away the light should go off after you restart the car on the 4th attempt

I have been told this by a few folk to but smarty pants wayne thought it was rubbish but thats more down to his ignorance

Your a nicen are arnt you.
Some codes will dissapear if the problem has gone, 99% of the time it will need clearing either by Subaru or someone with a resetting tool

It's gone all by itself.
Something was obviously wet inside when I washed it. All fixed now though and has turned itself off.
I called Subaru about it and they told me to unclip the negative on the battery and leave it for an hour and said it would probably reset itself.
I didn't have to do that though because when I started it tonight it had gone.

As Gee says if it is a temp problem it will clear itself on the 4th start.
Nice cold evening and myself and ScoobyDan were flat out on a stretch of runway... Ting, cell light, no boost. 4th start all good again.
