I ran a 13 dead a USC Santa Pod last year. never tried launching with the diff locked, think i'll give that a go. normally side step the clutch at about 4700 to 5000 any more and it either spins the wheels or bounces on the line, wasting time.
i've done loads of runs and i just can't break 13 seconds. tried launching at different revs and changing at different revs, you should be looking at low 13's my best runs on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJ6lxQsWoBE
I didn't think the boost was built while not under load? Also, set the launch control? I assume you can only do that on a modded WR1?
Yeah I have a Simtek ecu with launch control and anti lag on it, so I can sit at the line with my foot flat to the boards with the revs just bouncing at 6000-6500 ready to go...boost is up to max and diff fully locked. Then just side step and let rip...
only spins the wheels a little bit when its dry....if damp or wet then I adjust the launch control limit lower to compensate.
you gotta try it....its sooo addictive, but I am sure I might need a new clutch soon! a quick crappy clip for ya....I know its on a gravel road but its all I got close by. Nearest tarmac road is 5 mins drive away.
