turbo hoses

Postby ROSSCO » Sun May 10, 2009 4:06 pm

when my turbo kicks in, there is an air movement noise, it almost sounds like something is leaking ( a hose or something) Are there any hose prone to coming off or leaking ?

Thanks

Depends how loud it is. But if it already makes noise now, it would mean it's already leaking so you will not have the normal performance.

Once hoses have been removed, unless cleaned properly with a solvent based cleaner to remove old oil residue they will come off, marky mark used hairspay once they are cleaned an ready to put back on...makes em stick apprently :?

Yep using hair spray to seal hoses works a treat.

Are you sure its not like a whistling fluttering noise you are hearing? Mine has always made that sort of noise when the turbo starts spooling since day 1 5years ago.
