Find somewhere that does the 4wheel laser alignment in your area & get them to set the camber & tracking for you. Get the car booked in for that then get the new tires fitted just before you go, if you get it set up on worn tires then put new ones on it'll be slightly out.

Just had my 4 wheel alignment done up at Revolution in Newcastle.
Same reason as you, was getting four new wheels and tyres fitted. :D

I'll dig out report and scan it as a pdf for you as the settings are on there.

I had to get camber bolts fitted to rear as they did not have them on the car - is this right ???

You'll average around £100 to get it done.

Yes normal price they charge is £100 + vat but we got a special offer on TTS so they did it for £50 + vat. :D

Keep an eye out on some of the local scoob sites.

I just had mine done recently, cost me £75 + VAT for four wheel alignment and 1.5 hours labour for adjustments. All in £172, so 50 + VAT very cheap!

When getting your alignment done be sure to mention it's not the same settings as the standard sti, which most independant garages will set it too, the lowering springs fitted to the 1 make a difference !

forum/viewtopic.php?p=9297#9297 :

"The settings are

Front camber -1 degree 15 minutes
Front toe 6 minutes in
Rear toe 10 minutes in

These are the std settings for the road and should be how the car was set when the springs were changed. It is worth getting your dealer to check them though.

This will be because of the front wheels are toeing out.

Set to 1.5 deg neg camber front and zero toe all round to bring it alive :thumb:

Different.

factory settings have such a wide variance and most alignment centre would be happy with 0.6 deg difference - quiet scarey how much difference this makes to the handling.

Stand with them to make sure they do it precisely.

Why zero toe at the front too?

With how awefully understeered the scoob is, I'd have expected you didn't want to bring the front 'alive'. :?

How much camber do you give the rear ?

There is a real mixed bag of opinions on the toe settings needed. Some say toe out brings it most to life, some say toe in makes it more stable. Zero toe is a middle ground and doesnt waste any forward motion in tyre scrub.

The natural inclination of the bushes flexing brings toe out on braking and initial turn in but transitions to toe in on application of power.

My camber settings are a little more extreme than what you would want to run on the road. I have -3 degrees at front and -2 degrees at rear.

Interesting.

I used to want to have a lively rear (less camber than the front, no toe in) until I discovered that the Evo is damn tail happy compared to the scoob .

Running same camber front and rear and 1mm of toe in at the rear at the moment. It fits my driving style reasonable as I tend to be reasonable 'brutal' when turning in.

Not as good as a set-up as what the Finns used to set up the car as though. :(

Toe in at the rear calms the tail-happy behavior down - sounds like good settings you have :thumb:
