Most common take of for oil temp sensor is a sandwich plate that fits in between the oil filter & sump but its not the most accurate place to get a reading from.

Theres a location on top of piston number3, if I remember correctly, its and allen key fitting, remove that and you need a brass adaptor to put your sender into, when I get chance Ill post the place up to get the adaptor, even seen them on ebay sometime 8) 8) 8)

Well mines under the intercooler inlet hose, you need to take out a bung with allen key then fit another bung which allows you too fit defis sensor

I would say this is most common .. you can get an block adaptor from RCM but only allows you to fit standard water temp and oil presure .. if you try and fit defi oil temp the sensors touch inside.. !!

Mines fitted with the sandwich plate, as far as i'm aware over the few track day we have been to along with other members from here we are running at the same temp, although they may have in the same place, or they may not

Running it above Cyl#3 is the preferred option as you wan tto see the MAX temp you oil has to endure...................... sandwich plate above the Oil Filter WILL NOT GIVE YOU THIS.

Mineral Oils Degrade about 110-115 but you can get that with Track driving but with a Temp Sensorin the Sandwich plate - you'll never know.

Adaptor for #3 is LMA067 - cost about 6-7UKP delivered to your house

:D

Defi Sensor? Degrees Celcuis?

If your not running it already, run a FULLY ester based Synthetic ASAP (Silkolene Pro S or Motul 300V) coz your Oil going past #3 and round Turbo will be a LOT higher than that!
