Postby Ferret WR1 » Thu Apr 16, 2009 3:23 pm

Does anyone know the power rating of the standard stereo and speakers in the WR1?

Thanks in advance

That's what I am thinking to install better speakers, but wondering what the power rating of the stereo is and would it be enough to power better speaker or would I need an amp? :?

Changing the stereo alone will give you better sound quality. The standard stereo isnt too great. I think its 30W or something but the quality of it is shocking. I changed my head unit for a pioneer double din head unit and that alone increased the quality of the sound no end. I then changed standard speakers for the biggest that would fit without major surgery which improved it even more. Some sound deadening helped too... However my speakers arent great quality loud and arent bassy. You would need a sub in the boot for that sort of quality.

I did the sound deading stuff, speakers, amp and head unit... Looks great but I usually turn it off and open the windows to embrace the full beauty of a Scooby

Do you have to keep the Sat Nat DVD in like you used on older Pioneer Sat Nav stereos?
