takin lower grill off wr1

im takin lower grill off wr1 so bumper can be sprayed because of nasty stone chips but have noticed theres a special torx screw bit holding it on any ideas were i can get it from is it easy to get hold of.

I got mine from halfrauds, just check how many stars are on the screw otherwise a trip back to change :lol:

It is a "security" star drive you need. The Star bolt has a spindle in the centre so you need a security star drive with the centre cored out to remove it. I got a set from Halfords too.

F-knows why it is "security" for the grille but there you go!!

As a lot of folk seem the think the silver mesh in the bumper ruins the look of the car, I'd be very interested to see what it actually looks like without it, or sprayed black.

Surely pink is the only spray paint you should use.

royston1214 as you seem to be a dab hand at the old photoshop could you let me see what the ppf7s look like black?? i am thinking of getting my wheels done, muchos obligada!

i have just had the front end sprayed as i had a couple of big stone chips and loads od wee ones, look mint now. rear diffuser and a front splitter next. :lol: summer is coming 8)

They do contrast well though. Especially against the black grill.

8) Looks great in black.
Have a set that need refurbed & was going to go a bit darker think i might go the whole hog & get them done black now.

just had mine done in a graflite dark colour all the in sides too new prodrive centres and sti alloy valve caps looks mint thinking about having grill done too 8)
